Job Summary

Join our team as a Cook at our hunting lodge this fall. As the Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that each of our guests are well fed and provided the best experience that we can offer them. If you have a passion for food preparation for large groups and maintaining food safety standards while keeping with the rustic atmosphere this may be the right fit for you. This job will require early mornings and late nights, but we try to give you as much down time as possible. The cook is an integral part of our operation, and we try and ensure that they are well taken care of.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook three meals per day for our clients and guides - up to 20 people

- Responsible for creating the menu and shopping list for a full week at a time

- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality

- Adhere to food safety and handling procedures at all times

- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining room environment

- Ability to work alone and be a self-starter

Skills

- Proven experience working in the food industry or restaurant setting

- Proficiency in various cooking techniques and methods

- Knowledge of culinary terminology and practices

- Strong understanding of food safety protocols

- Ability to work efficiently and have meals prepared in a timely manner

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively

- Attention to detail to ensure dishes are presented attractively

- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and menus
