Overview
Our family-owned 2,500-acre hunting club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Land Manager to oversee the management and development of our property. The club is carefully managed to prioritize waterfowl habitat, trophy whitetail deer, and bass fishing. We are looking for a professional who shares our passion for wildlife conservation and land stewardship.
Key Responsibilities
Wildlife and Habitat Management:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance waterfowl habitat, food plots, and other land management initiatives.
- Monitor and maintain the health of wildlife populations, including deer and waterfowl.
- Conduct habitat assessments and plan improvements to meet conservation goals.
Land and Equipment Management:
- Operate and maintain farm machinery, including tractors, bush hogs, and other equipment, for planting food plots and property upkeep.
- Manage water control structures and maintain ponds, wetlands, and other aquatic environments.
- Oversee forestry and land enhancement projects.
Lodge and Camp Maintenance:
- Perform regular maintenance and general upkeep of the hunting lodge and camp facilities.
- Address routine repairs, landscaping, and facility upgrades as needed.
- Ensure all facilities are in excellent condition to provide a welcoming experience for members and guests.
Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work closely with the property owners to align management activities with the club’s goals and priorities.
- Maintain detailed records of land management, habitat projects, and equipment use.
- Provide recommendations and reports on future projects and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Wildlife Biology, Ecology, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in wildlife habitat management, with a focus on waterfowl conservation.
- Proficiency in operating farm machinery and performing routine maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with land and resource management, including planting food plots and maintaining aquatic habitats.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
