Do you love nature and the outdoors? Do you enjoy working with guests and assisting them with their outdoor hobbies? If so, the position of Hunting Guide may be the perfect opportunity for you!
Specific responsibilities include:
- Safely guide hunts throughout the River Wildlife property when directed by the Land Manager.
- Own and run trained dogs in hunting preserves/fields in a safe and effective manner.
- Show an emphasis on gun safety while in the preserves/fields, and assist with any questions that members or guests may have about firearms.
This is a part-time opportunity. Shifts are primarily 8:00am - 4:00pm, weekdays & weekends.
Skills/Requirements
- Must be 21 years old or older to apply.
- Knowledge of upland hunting.
- Knowledge of dog training and ability to effectively train and continue to train hunting dogs.
- Hunter’s safety course is required.
- Gun handling and safety skills along with a firearm safety certification is required.
- Guiding experience is highly preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and meet the ongoing eligibility to operate a motor vehicle.

The competitive commission range for this position may be influenced by a variety of factors.
