The Assistant Camp Manager is responsible for assisting with planning and executing every aspect of the hunt experience including and not limited to hospitality services, upland bird and deer hunting, shooting sports, land management, and property maintenance while driving brand awareness through a memorable and high quality standard customer experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist Camp Manager to:
- Organize and oversee daily operations of Los Borrego’s facilities.
- Develop and maintain high quality relationships with guests and employees
- Plan and execute employee work schedules, activities, dining, and overall hunt experience for guests and officers
- Guide hunts and shooting activities, as needed
- Hire, oversee, and manage qualified personnel from supervisors to entry level assuring they meet the standards of quality and knowledge to work at the lease
- Enforce adherence to regulations and quality standards among all staff
- Assume responsibility of budget for all aspects of the property and the operations of Los Borrego’s including repairs, maintenance, culinary planning, hospitality accommodations, and contracts for hunting activities
- Conduct annual trainings and evaluations for all full-time and part-time personnel
- Work with the Marketing Sr. Vice President to coordinate annual hunt calendar, submit monthly reports on expenses, attendance, and records of lease management.
- Must be friendly, professional, and knowledgeable with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Consult with executive management on projects such as land management, construction or repairs on property, guest activities and marketing efforts

- Possess a clear understanding of hunt camp operations and management
- Knowledgeable in budget management and vendor negotiations
- Must possess leadership, organization, and time management skills to lead a working team in various capacities
- Active listener able to mediate personnel issues with maximum results in job satisfaction
- Critical thinking and problem solving
EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s in Game Management or equivalent to 5 years’ experience managing a lease
- Knowledge of Excel and Word
- A professional portfolio with references and trackable experience will be expected at time of interview
