Fishing Guide In Training
Have you ever wanted to be a fishing guide? Have you ever dreamed of living a life off grid? Have you ever wanted to live and experience a life that most only dream of? Have you ever wanted to help others catch a TON of fish?
We are a remote lodge in Alaska looking to add to our team and looking for a someone that wants to be a guide in training. Our guide in training program gets you started and working at the lodge in the remote Alaskan wilderness. As a GIT you will learn as you guide. We will teach you all the skills necessary while you are working at the lodge and working with the clients on the river. As a GIT you will also learn what it takes to not only fish but to guide AND live and work in the Alaskan Bush. Some other skills you will learn are gardening, construction, log milling and small engine maintenance. NEWS FLASH….Its not all about guiding or fishing. We will teach you about everything that they wont teach you at guide school.
We are looking for:
- Someone looking to get into the guiding industry.
- Someone with the passion to fish, hunt AND teach others how to.
- Someone willing to live off grid for 4 months. (You will not see civilization during this time)
- Someone willing to work hard and has a great work ethic. (When not guiding we are building, milling logs, gardening etc…)
- A team player.
- Someone with a service attitude. (Our guests come first)!
We provide:
- Some gear.
- Housing and meals.
- Flight from Anchorage to the lodge and back.
- Base pay and tips.
- An unbelievable experience.
- Growth potential for retuning guides.
This is not a part time gig. We are looking for someone that is willing to give a minimum commitment of at least 4months. If you are addicted to drugs and alcohol please do not apply.
